These pictures originated in mostly natural places where I felt some intuitive affinity or attraction. In making these I was exploring that affinity - a threshold joining the visible world of trees, water, and lonesome places, to an invisible and fertile other-world.
These photographs were made on black and white medium format film, sometimes using plastic toy cameras. Except in printing, digital intervention has been minimal.
